We are an organisation made up of GP member practices from across Bromley. The 45 practices that form the CCG all take part in setting out our plans and priorities and in electing our Chair and GP members of the Governing Body. We work with patients and healthcare professionals and in partnership with local communities and local authorities. We are overseen by NHS England.
NHS England commissions specialised services in Bromley as well as primary care, including general practice doctors, dentists, pharmacists and optometrists. Since 1 April 2015, we have worked with NHS England to co-commission primary care services.
We work with healthcare providers, including local hospitals, and with colleagues in the London Borough of Bromley to plan and purchase healthcare.
We plan healthcare by identifying the health needs of the population and forecasting what services might be needed in the future. We also consider the views and experiences of patients.

We have a crucial role in overseeing the quality and safety of local NHS services. We are responsible for making sure that the healthcare providers we buy services from meet the proper standards of care as well as give value for money.
We measure the quality and safety of services through a range of reporting, meetings, information from inspectors and through patient feedback.
The standards we monitor are set out in national priorities through the national NHS operating framework. Read more on the NHS England website.
As a publicly funded NHS organisation we are first accountable to our patients and local people. We want to hear from you if you have a comment or query, the good and the bad. So if you have a comment or question visit our contact us section to find out how to get in touch.
