Date: 05 December 2017
Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lewisham and Southwark Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) have today announced the appointment of Andrew Bland as their single Accountable Officer. The appointment will formally take effect on 1st April 2018.
Andrew will also become the south east London Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) lead within the existing STP ‘Leadership Quartet’ with more immediate effect, a role that has been performed by Amanda Pritchard, Chief Executive of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital NHS FT, since the establishment of the partnership. Amanda will continue to be a member of the Quartet, as chair of the recently established Provider Federation Board.
Andrew is currently the Chief Officer for Southwark CCG and interim Chief Officer for Greenwich CCG as well as the CCG lead within the STP ‘Leadership Quartet’.
This is a key appointment in the implementation of the review the south east London CCGs have undertaken on their collaborative working arrangements to ensure they can work together more closely to improve performance and benefit their local populations.
Andrew Eyres remains the Accountable Officer for Lambeth CCG and for Croydon CCG.
Speaking on behalf of the CCGs, Dr Andrew Parson, chair of Bromley CCG, said “we are delighted with the appointment of Andrew Bland to this important new role. He has already been playing a key leadership role in south east London and we believe this appointment will leave us best placed to ensure the success of our new collaborative arrangements.”
