NHS Bromley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is the leading NHS organisation for the London Borough of Bromley. As a CCG, we are responsible for buying, planning and monitoring many of your local healthcare services. NHS England commissions specialised services in Bromley as well as primary care, including general practice doctors, dentists, pharmacists and optometrists. Since 1 April 2015, we have worked with NHS England to co-commission primary care services.
Bromley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is a membership organisation of all GPs working in the London Borough of Bromley. The GPs direct the organisation; the CCG’s governing body commissions local NHS services on behalf of the GPs. Six GPs have been elected to the CCG governing body.
A governing body is similar to a board. Ours is made up of 15 individual members: the clinical chair, five clinical directors, three lay members (people not employed by the NHS), a registered nurse, a hospital doctor and four senior officers. Representatives from the local authority and Healthwatch, the consumer champion for health and care, also attend.

We are committed to commissioning health services that will help the people of Bromley to live longer, healthier and happier lives. We put Bromley residents at the centre of everything we do. Your experiences help us to shape our plans, improve NHS services and ensure money is being spent in the best possible way.
The health services we focus on include community health services (such as district nursing; speech and language therapy; falls service and rehabilitation), hospital services, mental health, primary care (GPs), and urgent and emergency care.
Working from the starting point of the health and social care needs of our population in Bromley, as described by the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA), and our assessment of the current state of the local health economy, our Vision is:
Better health - Help people live longer, healthier lives and support them to manage their own conditions and take care of their health.
Better care - Provide the right care in the right place, at the right time and by the right professional.
Better value - Use NHS money wisely and invest sustainable, effective and efficient services.
We work with people who live in Bromley, and local health and social care organisations, to make decisions about how NHS money should be spent in our borough. It is our job to ensure the quality of our healthcare services. We are led by GPs and healthcare professionals who have many years' experience of caring for local people. We cover a population of more than 326,000 from Beckenham to Biggin Hill, Elmers End to Orpington.
Since our CCG was created in April 2013 we have been working with NHS partner organisations, the London Borough of Bromley and local people to plan, arrange and pay for most of the health services that patients in the borough need.
We aim to improve the health of Bromley residents by commissioning quality health services. We do this by:
