Developing and procuring services

Our plans for Bromley

We are responsible for planning, monitoring and buying most of the health services in Bromley. We work closely with NHS partners to identify the health needs of our patients to ensure plans are in place to improve health services and match the needs of local people

Improving health and wellbeing services in Bromley

Each year we review our health goals and our priorities for the year ahead. These goals and priorities are based on local health needs and what local people have told us. Once our priorities are agreed, we look at what services to fund to make sure the needs of patients can be met and improvements made.

Bromley is developing an Out-of-Hospital Transformation Programme that aims to provide more coordinated, personalised and integrated care closer to home. The plan is to deliver integrated services through three Integrated Care Networks (ICNs), each serving a population of around 100,000 Bromley residents. They will deliver better integrated working between primary, community, and all other health and social care services. Patients will be at the centre of care planning, commissioning, delivery and support, resulting in a greater focus on ill-health prevention, delivering responsive care when it is needed and helping to maintain patients’ independence for as long as possible.

We are also working with other clinical commissioning groups across south east London to ensure that services are good value for money, will improve health outcomes and are sustainable in the longer term. This programme is called the Our Healthier South East London. Please visit the Our Healthier South East London website for the full details.
