How are we doing?

We always welcome feedback on the way we are involving people in our work.  If you want to read more about the work we have done over the last reporting year, you can read our Annual Engagement report.

We produce six monthly reports to the Governing Body to provide information about the work we are doing to involve patients and the public, and to seek any further comments.  These reports cover how the patient voice is influencing our work and the outcomes of involvement.  These reports also provide evidence on how we are meeting our Statutory and Legal Duties for Engagement.  Each year we are assured by NHS England on how we are meeting these duties.  The results are published on the My NHS website.    In 2017/18 we received a 'Green Star' - outstanding rating for our patient participation duties.    

We have three lay representatives on our Governing Body and the Chief Executive of Healthwatch to hold us to account for the involvement work we are doing.

Good practice in public participation

The CCG has been asked to share its good practice in public participation with other CCGs.  This slide pack describes the CCG’s approach to working with the public and the benefits this brings for the wider community in Bromley.

Bromley Communications and Engagement Network

The CCG is a member of the Bromley C&E Network which is made up of statutory and voluntary partners.  Meetings are chaired by Healthwatch.  The group works together to review, plan and consider joint approaches to engaging and communicating with the Bromley population.  You can read the annual summary of the outcomes of this work for 2017 and 2018. These reports are presented to the Bromley Health and Wellbeing Board each year.
