In September 2016, Bromley CCG commissioned an independent review of safeguarding children and children looked-after services across the health economy. The aim of the ‘mock’ CQC Safeguarding Children Review was to look critically at whether there were gaps or areas where improvements should be made, and to strengthen the current health safeguarding children arrangements.
One of the recommendations included ensuring engagement with children, parents and young people in planning and raising awareness of health and care services in Bromley. The CCG’s Children and Young People (CYP) Communications and Engagement Plan, developed in January 2017, outlines that one of the ways this will be achieved is through undertaking an annual survey with CYP to gather feedback on their use of current services and understanding of what is available to them.
