I am delighted to inform you that NHS Bromley CCG has maintained its ‘Good’ headline rating on the 2018/19 CCG Improvement and Assessment Framework (CCG IAF).  This framework describes the CCG’s overall annual performance assessment against the following components:

  • Quality of the leadership
  • Financial management and performance
  • Performance against 48 indicators relating to the NHS constitution, other core performance, health outcomes and transformation objectives.

We are also delighted to receive an ‘Outstanding’ rating for the third year running in the IAF Patient and Community Engagement Indicator.   This illustrates our strong commitment to delivering meaningful and proactive engagement with local people on all areas of our business.

Our assessment for 2018/19 recognised our strengths such as the leadership of the CCG, achieving our financial surplus, delivery above required targets for some constitutional targets such as access to IAPT services and recovery rates, dementia diagnosis and early intervention in psychosis.  100% of young people with eating disorders entered treatment within one week.

We are fortunate to have such strong partnerships in Bromley which are enabling us to work well as an integrated system to continue our focus on providing as much care as possible out of hospital and proactively responding to the needs of our most vulnerable patients.   Although there are ongoing challenges and improvements to be made, we can be proud of what has been achieved together so far.

Going forward, our focus continues to be on making the improvements needed to ensure our residents get the very best care available.   This involves strengthening the performance and quality of services we commission from our health providers and ensuring the ambitions set out in the NHS Long Term Plan are delivered both in Bromley and across south east London.

We look forward to continuing to work with patients, residents and other partners to sustain and improve our position for the benefit of everyone who lives in Bromley.
