Connecting Bromley

Date: 10 November 2017

Bromley Council and its partners in health and the voluntary sector are supporting the Connecting Bromley campaign this November.

The campaign is aimed at those who may have limited contact with others or are lonely such as the elderly, those with long term disabilities or health issues, or at times of change in their lives such as parenthood, divorce, bereavement or moving to a new area.

One of the main parts of the Connecting Bromley work is to bring together and publicise local activities and services in various parts of the borough.  This will result in:

  • An on-line directory of activities around Bromley that can be searched by location, target audience eg age and special interest groups and types of activity;
  • A calendar of special activities taking place in November;
  • Flyers with information about national and local helplines and friendship lines, befriending opportunities and activities where you are collected and taken there and back home;
  • Flyers with information about opportunities to volunteer to help those who are lonely or isolated.

If you work with or know anyone who may benefit from this information visit the Connecting Bromley webpage to find out more.
