In July we held an event for patients to share information on developments in primary care services in Bromley, provide feedback on how the views of patients has been used in the development of these services and ask for views on the Bromley Primary Care Needs Assessment.
22 people attended and asked a number of questions, including:
Q: Are there any video tutorials on how to use GP Online Services?
A: There are step by step instructions available on NHS Choices on how to use GP online services
Q: If you are providing extra appointments at the hubs how many are taken away from general practice?
A: No appointments are being taken away from general practice. The hubs provide an additional 840 appointments a week in addition to what the 45 GP practices offer.
A primary care needs assessment is also being undertaken which involves getting an understanding from patients about what they need from their primary care services and working with doctors and other practice staff to better understand what should be in place to meet local needs.
