Developing the long term plan for the NHS

Date: 20 September 2018

On 18th June the Prime Minister set out a funding settlement for the NHS in England for the next five years. In return, the NHS has been asked to set out a long term plan for the future of the NHS by autumn, setting out our ambitions for improvement over the next decade, and our plans to meet them over the five years of the funding settlement.

As part of this process NHS England want to hear the views of those who rely on and work in or alongside the NHS have the opportunity to contribute their ideas and insights. To make it easy for you to have their say on the different aspects of the plan NHS England have developed a web portal which includes a discussion guide for staff, clinicians, patients and the public. An easy read version of this guide is also available.

You may choose to provide responses for every topic or just the ones that are important to you or the group you represent.

The deadline for submissions is 30th September 2018.

Please visit the NHS England web portal for more information and to access the feedback form.

Please email england.ltp@nhs.net if you have any further comments.
