Get Active this Summer Holiday with your Kids!

Change4Life is encouraging families this summer to plan activities that get you moving!

The Change4Life campaign is encouraging families in the UK to make healthier choices this summer. There are themed months throughout the year, and this summer Change4Life is encouraging families to get active. Kids need to be active for 60 minutes a day for optimum health.

From games, hobbies and sports there are plenty of opportunities this summer to get your family moving. . Change4Life has introduced fun videos to encourage your kids to move such as Train Like A Jedi where Olympic gold medallist Jade Jones guides you through 12 special moves which will help you master the ways of the Jedi.

Obesity levels have been increasing rapidly worldwide for the past two decades. The World Health Organisation has labelled it a global epidemic. According to government figures, the UK is now the fattest country in Europe.

It is incredibly important that parents ensure their children are active to reduce child obesity rates in Bromley. There has been a significant increase in health problems in children that are normally only seen in adults such as coronary artery disease, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.

The summer holiday is the perfect opportunity to plan something fun to do with your family outside to get active
