Date: 19 February 2018
Hundreds of Bromley residents were able to find out more about community health services in Bromley at our Community Roadshow in the Glades Shopping Centre. The roadshow ran over the February half term and featured our new video that explains the new contracts for these services. If you missed the roadshow, we will be in Orpington Town Centre on Saturday 28 April 2018.
The new contracts are for community health services for children and adults, services to help people live as healthily and independently at home, GP out of hours services and support for patients discharged from hospital.
Patients can expect to see improvements including a new Care Co-ordination Centre which will provide a single point of access for all services, making it easier for patients to get the right information and care at the right time; extended hours for the children’s community nursing team which will operate seven days a week, shorter waiting times and services provided from accessible locations. There will also be more emphasis on providing more proactive and preventative care with better support particularly for our older residents to enable them to live independently and avoid going into hospital.
