Invitation to Market Facilitation Meetings

Date: 26 July 2016

NHS Bromley Clinical Commissioning Group (Bromley CCG) is holding Market Facilitation Meetings for providers who are interested in tendering for the provision of Community Health Services in Bromley.

Bromley CCG wants to commission local community services in line with the Bromley Out-of-Hospital Transformation Programme. Healthcare services cannot operate in isolation and must be delivered in line with key principles of integration, including the implementation of three Integrated Care Networks (ICNs) across the borough to deliver better integrated working between primary, community, and all other health and social care services. By integrating care pathways, patients will have better access to the right care, closer to home, from the most appropriately skilled professional and at the time of need. Patients will be at the centre of care planning, commissioning, delivery & support, resulting in a greater focus on ill-health prevention, delivering proactive & responsive care when it is needed and helping to maintain patients’ independence for as long as possible.

Bromley’s Community Services will include the following main features:

  • Easy access to community health services
  • Well-coordinated and joined up care
  • Localised integrated care that enables complex case management
  • Specialist input for long term conditions in the community
  • Rapid response to admission avoidance service, intermediate care and supported discharge
  • Seamless flow between planned and unscheduled care
  • Outcomes focused
  • Promote health and wellbeing

Services will be split into 3 lots as outlined in Table 1. Providers can bid for all or any of the whole lots.

Indicative percentage split across the lots subject to further modelling currently undertaken by the CCG

The length of the contracts will be 5 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years. It is anticipated that a competitive procurement process will commence in November 2016 and services will start on 1st October 2017.

Bromley CCG is looking for interested providers to take part in market facilitation meetings during the week commencing 12th September 2016. This is an opportunity for the commissioner to ask interested providers a number of key questions that will help the commissioner shape the service requirements.

Providers wishing to take part in these market facilitation meetings should email Warren Galstin (Project Coordinator, Bromley CCG) at BROCCG.Contracts@nhs.net by Monday 15th August 2016 at the latest. Please clearly state in your email:
