Shaping public information for the Care Act 2014

Date: 22 July 2014

Time: 01:00

The Department of Health is calling for individuals, carers, families and the voluntary sector to help shape guidance about the Care Act 2014.

The guidance aims to help people who use healthcare services, their families, the voluntary sector, and providers of care understand the new system. Giving feedback will help ensure the information included caters for everyone using health and social care services.

This is your opportunity to give feedback on the draft guide relating to the care and support local authorities will provide to people from April 2015/16. Visit http://careandsupportregs.dh.gov.uk/ to get involved. The consultation closes on 15 August 2014.

The guidance has primarily been developed to provide local authorities with the information they need to meet the legal obligations placed on them by the Act and the regulations.
