Vision and values

Our vision for Bromley’s NHS

Helping the people of Bromley live longer, healthier, happier lives

We are committed to commissioning health services that will help the people of Bromley to live longer, healthier and happier lives. We put Bromley residents at the centre of everything we do. Your experiences help us to shape our plans, improve NHS services and ensure money is being spent in the best possible way.

Working from the starting point of the health and social care needs of our population in Bromley, as described by the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA), and our assessment of the current state of the local health economy, our Vision is:

Better health

Help people live longer, healthier lives and support them to manage their own conditions and take care of their health.

Better care

Provide the right care in the right place, at the right time and by the right professional.

Better value

Use NHS money wisely and invest sustainable, effective and efficient services.

Our values

  • Act with integrity, treating everyone equally and with respect.
  • Listen to local people to maximise and improve our organisation and services.
  • Continue to work closely with our partners across health and social care.

Our objective

We aim to improve the health of Bromley residents by commissioning quality health services. We do this by:

  • meeting our statutory requirements
  • being led by doctors and other health professionals
  • collaborating with neighbouring CCGs and local providers, and establishing commissioning arrangements
  • improving experiences of health services for patients
  • involving patients and communities, including hard-to-reach groups, in our work.
